New Generation EPD Electric Brake Release Device for Elevator Emergency Rescue
The newly launched EPD series electric brake release device is a dedicated emergency rescue component for elevators, developed to safely handle passenger entrapment caused by mains power failure or elevator system faults. It delivers reliable and controllable car movement to the landing zone for passenger evacuation, fully complying with the latest elevator safety codes.
◎ The new EPD series electric brake release supports independent wiring of dual brakes, meeting the requirements of new regulations. It can adapt to elevator configurations equipped with dual brake systems and satisfy stringent safety compliance standards for modern elevator projects.
◎ When used in conjunction with the control system of landing door lock and emergency stop contactor, the existing door lock contacts inside the control cabinet can be directly adopted. This design effectively reduces wiring workload, simplifies on-site installation, lowers construction costs and guarantees stable and reliable signal transmission.
◎ The device reserves battery power output terminals, as well as external lead terminals for door zone indicator lights and external button terminals. Abundant reserved interfaces facilitate flexible field wiring and convenient expansion of peripheral signal and control components.
◎ It adopts a dedicated battery compartment design. There is no need to disassemble the whole unit for battery maintenance. Users only need to push open the battery compartment cover on the rear side, enabling quick battery replacement and routine maintenance, greatly improving after-sales service efficiency.
◎ PN/PT/PF/PS models are all equipped with standard emergency power supply ports. When matched with the BlueLight VM3 main control board, the LED digital display on the main board can visually show the sliding speed and moving direction of the elevator car during emergency rescue operations, helping technicians monitor rescue status in real time.
◎ For PT model products, the output power of the 24V power supply is upgraded to 50W. While the electric brake release is activated, it can supply power to the entire 24V system directly. The door zone switching power supply no longer requires separate wiring, simplifying cabinet layout and reducing engineering materials.
◎ The split-type PF model features a separated structure for the storage battery and main unit. The main device is maintenance-free, perfectly fitting scenarios requiring long-term stock storage and long-distance international transportation such as overseas projects. The storage battery can be purchased and installed locally on site after equipment arrival. This eliminates the trouble of regular battery charge-discharge management during transit and storage. Moreover, the product height of PF model is merely 108mm, which supports installation with ultra-thin control cabinets and adapts to limited cabinet space.
◎ For PS model products, by adopting higher-capacity batteries, the brake output power is increased up to 600W. The upgraded power capacity can cover heavier load conditions and satisfy emergency rescue demands for more diversified elevator application scenarios.
